summertime

being able to wear tiny shorts and halter tops

hanging out with your friends and not having to worry about being the fattest one

tanning on the beach and looking like a model

wearing a cheeky bikini bottom and not having cottage cheese thighs

eating ice cream at the pier and not having to obsess over calories since you’re already skinny and can easily work the weight off

finally being comfortable in your own body.

think about that, now make it a reality. do you really want to give up all of this just for some ice cream or a coke? of course not. exercise a little longer. fast for a few more hours. push yourself just a little more. summer bodies are built in the winter. work your butt off now so you won’t regret it later.

In a parrelel universe, 100 pound me is sipping diet soda on a beach somewhere in a bikini, feeling everything I wish I was feeling.

God I hate that.

-so i can wear a bikini and not feel like a pig

-to be able to wear a crop top and not worry about my stomach hanging out

-to have a sharp jawline

-so i can have collar bones you could drink out of

-to not be called thunder thighs

-to make all the people who ever made fun of me be envious

-to hear the words “wanna go out sometime?”

-to finally not be the fat friend

-so you could wrap your hand around my arm.. twice

-to be able to be picked up and not totally crush the poor person

-to be able to wear sleeveless shirts and not worry about how huge my arms are

-to wear ripped jeans and not have my fat stick out of the rips

-so i can waste endless hours tracing my bones because they’re basically out

-to not cry in the dressing room when i’m trying on clothes because i’m too fat (this one is super important to me i wanna cry just thinking about this)

-so people are like “damn how’d you loose all that weight?”

-“i wanna look just like you”

-”you’re gorgeous”

the list continues… i want all of these things. i can make it happen and i WILL. i will look amazing this summer. i won’t be insecure about my stomach or thighs or arms in my swim suit. why? because there will be nothing there to be insecure about. i will finally love myself.

Feeling upset you “only” lost 5 pounds?

Grab a cheap 5 pound bag of kitty litter (or anythings that add up to 5 pounds) and throw it in a backpack. Strap that sucker on and clean the kitchen, do the laundry, go for a walk, whatever you want!

When you’re done, take that sucker off and instantly feel how heavy it was. It made you work a little bit harder. It feels good to take off the backpack.

That’s how your joints, heart and lungs feel for every ounce of extra weight you take off of your body. Your body will never ever be upset when you take care of it well. It’s the brain that gets caught up in time line goals and numbers and scales. Remind your brain how heavy 5 pounds is, and how amazing you are for taking care of yourself.
